Suzy Amis (born January 5, 1962) is an American former film actress and environmental activist. She is best known for her role as Rose DeWitt Bukater in James Cameron's 1997 epic film Titanic. Amis was active in film and television during the 1980s and 1990s, appearing in movies such as The Big Chill and The Rocketeer. She married director James Cameron in 2000 and gradually left acting to focus on environmental causes. She co-founded the nonprofit Muse School and the Plant Power Task Force, promoting plant-based diets and sustainable living.
