Tates Locke (born February 25, 1937) is an American college basketball coach known for his tenure at Clemson University and Indiana State University. He was recognized for his defensive-oriented coaching style and recruiting abilities, but also became embroiled in controversy for violating NCAA rules. Active from the 1960s to the 1980s, Locke left a significant impact on college basketball.
