Thalassa Cruso (January 7, 1909 – June 11, 1997) was a British-American author, horticulturist, and television host. She is best known for hosting the PBS gardening program 'Making Things Grow' in the 1960s and 1970s. Born in London, England, she studied at Oxford University before moving to the United States. Cruso wrote several gardening books, including 'Making Things Grow' and 'To Everything There Is a Season', praised for their humorous and practical approach. Her show and books inspired countless gardening enthusiasts, and she is regarded as a pioneer of gardening television in America.
