Tonya Harding is a retired American figure skater who achieved fame and notoriety for her three-time win at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships and her silver medal at the 1992 Winter Olympics. Her career was marred by the 1994 attack on Nancy Kerrigan, which resulted in her suspension from the U.S. Figure Skating Association.
