Uma Bharti (born May 3, 1959) is an Indian politician serving as the Minister of Water Resources of India. A senior member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), she is known for her active role in Hindu nationalist movements. Bharti began her political career in the 1980s and has been elected to the Lok Sabha multiple times. She played a key role in the Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi movement and has held various ministerial positions, including Tourism and Culture.
