Yvette Clarke is an American politician born on November 21, 1964. She has been serving as the U.S. Representative for New York's 11th congressional district since 2013. Clarke grew up in New York City and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Columbia University. Her political career began in the New York City Council, where she served as a councilmember for Manhattan's 42nd District.
