Robert Bork (March 1, 1927 - December 19, 2012) was a prominent American legal scholar and political commentator. He served as the United States Assistant Attorney General and a judge on the United States Court of Appeals. In 1987, President Ronald Reagan nominated him as Attorney General of the United States, but his nomination was rejected by the Senate. Bork is known for his conservative legal views and his interpretation of constitutional originalism. more
