Patrick Read Johnson (born May 7, 1962) is an American film director, screenwriter, and producer. He is best known for directing the 1991 Disney adventure film 'The Rocketeer'. Johnson developed a passion for filmmaking in his childhood, shooting short films on Super 8 film in his hometown in Illinois. He later moved to Hollywood, working at Industrial Light & Magic on special effects for films like 'Star Wars'. His career highlights include 'The Rocketeer', which became a cult classic, though his subsequent projects did not achieve the same level of success.
