“Civilization starts with us, so if we want to build a just and humane civilization, we must be just and humane ourselves. Look in the mirror - what do you see - do you see an animal that looks like a human - or do you see something more - look deeply - look beyond the shape and everything external - and you'll witness an entire civilization in the shape of a human.”

“Sisters and brothers of planet earth, we no longer have the childish luxury to talk about toleration, for it's time to act upon assimilation, it's time for universal acceptance.”

“We need to practice reason so that we can make way for warmth and we need to practice warmth so that we can make way for reason. Reason and warmth must work as one force of humanity, not as separate constructs of the self-obsessed psyche.”

“Shall we appreciate any less the beauty of nature because its harmony is unplanned? And shall the potential of mind cease to inspire our awe and fear because several billion neurons reside in our skulls?”

“Yes, the world has been different ever since Darwin. But no less exciting, instructing, or uplifting; for if we cannot find purpose in nature, we will have to define it for ourselves.”

“Uneducated is not the one who doesn't have higher education, uneducated is the one who has no humanity in heart, despite having the highest of education that money can buy.”

“Two Liberties (A Sonnet)
There is not one but two liberties,
One is savage and the other is civilized.
Savage liberty lacks accountability,
The civilized one makes us humanized.
In the jungle liberty is the supreme law,
But one that involves no accountability.
Thus injustice is the norm of wildlife,
But it can't be accepted in human society.
Accountability is the line of control,
Between human and animal behavior.
You don't need intellect to draw the line,
All you need is a well-formed character.
So liberty must be guided by accountability,
Only then can we create a sane society.”
