The Corvette logo has changed a lot since the 1953 model launch, but it has always had two flags. When the Corvette was launched in 1953, Chevrolet devised a plan to use the Checkered Flag and the American Flag, two things that marked the Corvette as part of its original emblem. When Chevrolet prepared for its new Corvette Sport in the early 1950s, the task of designing the emblem and logo fell to Chevrolet interior designer Robert Bartholomew.
