Steven Van Zandt (born November 22, 1950) is an American musician, actor, producer, and activist. He is best known as a guitarist and backing vocalist for Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, and for his role as Silvio Dante on the HBO series The Sopranos. Van Zandt also founded the band Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul and hosts the radio show Little Steven's Underground Garage. He has been actively involved in social causes, including the anti-apartheid movement, and promotes rock music education. more
