Rudy Rucker (born March 22, 1946) is an American computer scientist, mathematician, and science fiction author. He is considered one of the early pioneers of the cyberpunk literary movement, known for blending mathematics, computer science, and speculative fiction. Rucker taught mathematics and computer science at San Jose State University and has written popular science works such as Infinity and the Mind and Geometry, Relativity, and the Fourth Dimension.
