Tara Lipinski (born June 10, 1982) is an American former figure skater best known for winning the gold medal in women's singles at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan. At the age of 15 years and 255 days, she became the youngest individual gold medalist in Winter Olympics history, a record that still stands. Lipinski also won the 1997 World Figure Skating Championships and the 1997 and 1998 U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
