Leah Remini (born June 15, 1970) is an American actress, author, and producer. She is best known for her role as Carrie Heffernan on the sitcom 'The King of Queens' (1998–2007). Remini gained widespread attention for her public criticism of the Church of Scientology, which she left in 2013. She produced and hosted the Emmy Award-winning documentary series 'Scientology: The Aftermath' (2016–2019). Her memoir 'Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology' (2015) became a New York Times bestseller. Remini has also appeared in films and TV shows such as 'Old School' (2003) and 'The Talk' (2010–2011).
