Mobutu Sese Seko, born on October 14, 1930, and died on September 7, 1997, was a military officer who ruled the Democratic Republic of Congo for 32 years. During his reign, he implemented an authoritarian regime and attempted to build the country into a powerful nation. However, his rule was also marked by corruption and human rights abuses. more
