Ali Abdullah Saleh, born on March 21, 1942, is a former President of Yemen. He has been a prominent political figure in Yemen, leading the Yemeni Revolution Council that overthrew the previous president, Salim Ali Abdullah Abdul Rahman. During his presidency, Saleh faced numerous coups and conflicts, eventually being forced to resign in 2012.
