Caleb Cushing was an American diplomat and politician. He served as the United States Minister to Brazil from 1831 to 1833 and as the United States Minister to Portugal from 1846 to 1849. Cushing was also a member of the United States House of Representatives from 1835 to 1837 and the United States Senate from 1837 to 1845.
