
Avery Brundage
Avery Brundage was a distinguished Olympic athlete and administrator. Born on September 28, 1887, in Chicago, Illinois, he was a three-time Olympic gold medalist in rowing. Brundage served as the president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) from 1952 to 1972, making significant contributions to the modernization of the Olympic Games. He passed away on May 8, 1975.
