Napoleon III, born Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte, was a French politician and military leader, the nephew of Napoleon I. He was born on April 20, 1808, and died on January 9, 1873. Napoleon III served twice as President of France and was the Emperor of the Second French Empire, ruling France for 18 years. His reign witnessed the peak of the Industrial Revolution in France, but also led to the collapse of the empire due to foreign wars and internal political corruption.
