
Roger Gilbert-Lecomte
Roger Gilbert-Lecomte (1907-1943) was a French poet and an important member of the Surrealist movement. He was closely associated with Surrealist pioneers such as André Breton and Paul Éluard, and gained some influence in French literary circles. During the 1930s, he actively participated in Surrealist literary activities, creating a series of poems characteristic of Surrealism. He died in Paris on December 31, 1943, at the age of 36. His poetry embodied Surrealist exploration of the unconscious and dreams, holding a certain place in the history of French Surrealist literature.
