Richie Ashburn, born on March 19, 1927, was an accomplished professional baseball player from the United States. Renowned for his exceptional defensive and hitting skills, Ashburn was a staple of the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies during his career. He was a multiple-time All-Star and won the MVP award in 1955. Ashburn passed away on September 9, 1997.
