Robert Smythe Hichens Books

Robert Smythe Hichens (November 14, 1864 - July 20, 1950) was a British journalist and author best known for his satirical novel "The Green Carnation" (1894), which covertly satirized Oscar Wilde and Lord Alfred Douglas. Hichens also wrote poetry, including "The Ballad of the Goodly Fere," and worked as a journalist for various British publications during the late Victorian and Edwardian eras.
