Saint Cecilia, born in 230 AD according to legend, was a Christian saint. Her life story is mainly derived from medieval literature and legends, lacking concrete historical evidence. She is said to have been born into a noble family in Rome, to have been a faithful Christian from a young age, and to have refused to marry an unbeliever. She was eventually executed for her faith during the reign of Emperor Maximian.
