Verghese Kurien (November 26, 1921 – September 9, 2012) was an Indian entrepreneur and dairy engineer, widely known as the "Father of the White Revolution" in India. He founded Amul (Anand Milk Union Limited), which revolutionized India's dairy industry through a pioneering cooperative model. Under his leadership, India became the world's largest milk producer. His work helped millions of dairy farmers achieve economic empowerment. He received India's highest civilian honors, including the Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan.
