Born on October 20, 1891, in the British protectorate of Kenya, he was a key figure in the struggle for Kenyan independence from British colonial rule. Kenyatta was a prominent member of the Kikuyu ethnic group and his leadership and oratory skills played a significant role in mobilizing the Kenyan people against colonialism. He passed away on August 22, 1978. more
