Pietro Belluschi was an influential American architect known for his modernist designs and significant contributions to the field of architecture. Born on August 18, 1899, in Italy, he moved to the United States as a child and spent his career in the Pacific Northwest. Belluschi's work is characterized by its simplicity, functionality, and innovative use of materials. He designed numerous notable buildings, including the Portland Art Museum and the IBM Building in Seattle. He passed away on February 14, 1994. more
