Paul Broca (June 28, 1824 – July 9, 1880) was a renowned French physician, anatomist, and anthropologist. He is best known for discovering the speech production center in the left frontal lobe of the brain, later named Broca's area, which laid the foundation for neurolinguistics. Broca was also a pioneer in modern anthropology, contributing significantly to craniometry and racial studies.
