Robert Rodriguez (born June 20, 1968) is an American film director, screenwriter, producer, and cinematographer known for his low-budget, high-creativity filmmaking style. He gained fame with his debut film El Mariachi (1992), shot on a $7,000 budget, and later directed the Mexico Trilogy, Spy Kids series, Sin City, and Alita: Battle Angel. Rodriguez is renowned for his early adoption of digital technology and frequent collaboration with Quentin Tarantino.
