He taught at the University of Munich and the London School of Economics. His seminal work, 'Risk Society: Towards a New Modernity,' became a classic in sociology. Beck's research focused on globalization, individualization, climate change, and cosmopolitanism, profoundly influencing contemporary sociology, political science, and environmental studies.
