Rafael Palmeiro (born September 24, 1964) is a Cuban-American former professional baseball first baseman and outfielder who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Chicago Cubs, Texas Rangers, and Baltimore Orioles. He is one of only five players in MLB history to achieve both 3,000 hits and 500 home runs, finishing his career with 569 home runs and 3,020 hits.
