Quote by Anwar Sadat

“I found that I faced a highly complex situation, and that I couldnt hope to change it until I had armed myself with the necessary psychological and intellectual capacity. My contemplation of life and human nature in that secluded place had taught me that he who cannot change the very fabric of his thought will never be able to change reality, and will never, therefore, make any process.”

He is best known for leading Egypt in the October War of 1973 and for his historic peace initiative with Israel, which earned him the Nobel Peace Prize in 1978 alongside Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin. Sadat's policies, including the Camp David Accords and economic liberalization, reshaped Egypt's domestic and foreign affairs. His assassination by Islamist extremists during a military parade marked a tragic end to his transformative but controversial leadership. more

“We came here to a country that was populated by Arabs and we are building here a Hebrew, a Jewish state; instead of the Arab villages, Jewish villages were established. You even do not know the names of those villages, and I do not blame you because these villages no longer exist. There is not a single Jewish settlement that was not established in the place of a former Arab Village.”
