Theodore C. Sorensen (May 8, 1928 – October 31, 2010) was an American lawyer, writer, and former White House Counsel, best known as a close advisor and speechwriter for President John F. Kennedy. He played a key role in drafting Kennedy's inaugural address and civil rights legislation, and was instrumental during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Sorensen's book 'Kennedy' remains a classic on the Kennedy administration. He continued to influence public policy and law until his death. more
