“Who’s Josie?” Alex asked, confused. “Uh . . .” I looked over at Deacon. “You want to do the honors? “Sirens blasted, breaking the silence and spinning me around. The shrill sound was all too familiar, and I snapped into action. “How did he do that?” Alex stumbled to her feet with Aiden’s aid, swaying to one side.
