“I always was drawn to the performing arts. I started dancing when I was two. I sang, loved to act, and loved going to visit my mom on-set. But she wanted me to have a normal childhood, so I wasn’t really allowed to pursue acting till I got older.” ArtTwoWantedActingChildhoodMomNormalDancingMy MomPursuePerformingPerforming Arts Author:Rainey Qualley
“Performing at my best is important to me and should be to everyone. I am blessed that my dad is a chiropractor. “My mom was a sub teacher her whole life. My aunt was a teacher her whole life. So that wasn't hard to do. Performing in front of people started when I was a child. My mom ran a theatre. So we were around it. Getting up in front of people has never been an issue. So I think once you get over that part of it, I'm happy to teach anybody anything.” PeopleThinkingChildrenHardWholeTeachIssuesTeacherFrontsMomMy MomTheatreWhole LifeRanPerformingGet OverAunt Author:Matt Snell
“The idea of social performance, that we're always performing identities, is something I got fairly obsessed with. I think it's probably because I am a person who went to 15 different elementary and middle schools. I moved all the time, often having to run out in the middle of the night because my mom couldn't pay the bills. There were schools where I'd be the poor loser kid. There were schools where I'd suddenly be the smart kid or the cool kid, although that was very seldom.” ThinkingPersonsIdeasDifferentRunningKidsSchoolNightSocialPoorPayMiddleIdentityMomSmartPerformancesBillsMovedMy MomPerformingObsessedLoserMiddle Of The NightMiddle SchoolCool KidSmart Kid Author:Robert Greene
“I always loved performing! My mom said anytime there was an opportunity to get up and perform I would! I would volunteer to go up on stage at Disneyland when I was 2 or 3! I just always loved making people laugh or just entertaining them.” PeopleOpportunityLaughingMomMy MomPerformingVolunteerMaking People LaughDisneyland Author:Chloe Noelle
“I feel like I've been doing performing my entire life. I started taking music lessons and singing when I was about ten. I didn't have one of those creepy stage moms that made me do stuff. I started bands at a pretty young age and played with my friends back in Detroit. I've always known that I wanted to do this. It was all I was ever interested in doing. I never had, outside of music, any extracurricular activities that I took part in.” AgeMomSingingPerformingCreepy Author:Alex Winston
“I've never wanted to be anything other than an actor. I started performing on Broadway when I was 8 years old. My first night on stage, I told my mom, "This is what I want to do. I was always a very out-there kid. The sad thing about acting business is it's so fleeting. If I couldn't do that, I was going to go to school and study law and become a lawyer. But I probably would have been miserable, or they would have had some very theatrical court sessions.” KidsSchoolNightActingStudyMomMy MomLawyerMiserablePerformingTheatrical Author:Lea Michele
