Eric Nicol (December 28, 1919 – February 2, 2011) was a renowned Canadian humorist, playwright, and columnist. Known for his witty, satirical, and warm style, he wrote a long-running column for The Vancouver Sun and published numerous bestselling books. Nicol twice won the Governor General's Award for non-fiction, a top Canadian literary honor.
