Ibrahim Rugova was a prominent political leader from Kosovo. Born on December 2, 1944, Rugova dedicated his life to the struggle for Kosovo's independence from Serbia. He was known for his non-violent approach and was the first president of the Kosovo Liberation Army. Rugova passed away on January 21, 2006.
