Rick Wright (July 28, 1943 – September 15, 2008) was a British musician, keyboardist, and composer, best known as a founding member of the legendary rock band Pink Floyd. His atmospheric keyboard playing and innovative use of synthesizers were integral to the band's psychedelic and progressive rock sound. Wright contributed to iconic albums such as 'The Dark Side of the Moon' and 'Wish You Were Here,' co-writing classics like 'The Great Gig in the Sky' and 'Us and Them.' Despite personal struggles and a temporary departure from the band in the early 1980s, he returned for later projects and reunions.
