Tim Walz is an American politician born on April 6, 1964. He represents the 1st Congressional District of Minnesota as a member of the Democratic Party. Walz grew up in military and agricultural communities in Minnesota, attended the University of Minnesota, and earned a Bachelor's degree in education. His political career began in the Minnesota State Senate, and he was elected to Congress in 2007.
