Anna Lindh (1957-2003) was a prominent Swedish politician and member of the Social Democratic Party. She served as Sweden's Minister for Foreign Affairs from 1998 until her death. Lindh was a leading voice for Swedish EU membership and human rights advocacy. Known for her eloquent speaking style and strong political convictions, she was widely seen as a future Prime Minister. On September 10, 2003, she was attacked in a Stockholm department store and died the following day at age 46. Her death shocked Sweden and the international community, leaving a profound legacy in Swedish politics. more
