Manuel Valls is a prominent French politician who served as the Prime Minister of France. Born on August 13, 1962, in Barcelona, Spain, of French descent, he joined the Socialist Party in 1981 and became a French citizen in 1986. His political career began in 1997 when he was elected to the National Assembly. From 2002 to 2008, he served as the General Secretary of the Socialist Party, significantly influencing the party's development. He was re-elected to the National Assembly in 2008 and served as the Minister of the Interior from 2012 to 2014, responsible for combating terrorism and immigration issues. In 2014, he became the Prime Minister of France, becoming the first Socialist Prime Minister in French history. more
