“Social media is a dangerous animal. It needs you to feed it to survive and grow. If you don’t feed it your time, attention, and data, it will die. But if you feed it too much of your time, attention, and data, it will grow beyond your control and can consume and destroy the things that matter the most. Like your peace, your dignity, your sanity, your purpose, your relationships, your friendship, your marriage, your career, and your reputation. The good news is this. You are in charge. Take from it what adds value, and leave the rest behind. Feed it data, attention, and time as little as you can. Stay in control, don’t let it control you.”

“The internet and social media are now being used as weapons to control and influence people. Those in power are doing everything they can to buy ownership of social media apps, platforms, and the internet itself because they want control. Social media exposes their lies, bias, hypocrisy, propaganda, mistakes, flaws, bad intentions, true colors, and acts of violence. They are being exposed for who they truly are and can no longer lie or control the narrative. Because of this, they are losing power. Please use the internet, Artificial Intelligence, and social media with discretion and caution. These tools are now used for surveillance, to spy on people, manipulate opinions, influence behavior, and collect data. Do not share, store, or post any secrets or sensitive information online”

“Last year you had lost a lot of your time watching Get Ready With Me videos (GRWM). By the time they are ready, you are not, and you are still where you were and still look the same as you did. You had spent a lot of your time watching what other people are doing than you doing something yourself? You watched people getting ready looking beautiful, fresh, and fit. People upskilling, starting careers, buying cars and houses, doing certificates, and learning new skills. People starting families, being serious with their partners and getting ready for their marriage. People getting ready with their mental health. Letting go of fear,  toxic relationships and friendships. This year we want to get ready with you. It is time for you to act and take steps and decisions on those ideas, goals, plans, and dreams. We don’t want another year to pass without you achieving something, learning something, or doing something.”

“There are gaps in the mesh of the everyday world, and sometimes they open up and you fall through them into somewhere else. Somewhere Else runs at a different pace to the here and now, where everyone else carries on. Somewhere Else is where ghosts live, concealed from view and only glimpsed by people in the real world. Somewhere Else exists at a delay, so that you can't quite keep pace. Perhaps I was already teetering on the brink of Somewhere Else anyway; but now I fell through, as simply and discreetly as dust sifting through the floorboards. I was surprised that I felt at home there. Winter had begun.”
