Ahmed Yassin was a prominent Palestinian political leader and co-founder of Hamas. Born on January 1, 1937, in the Gaza Strip, Yassin played a significant role in the Palestinian resistance movement. He was assassinated on March 22, 2004, by Israeli forces.
