Dan Colen (b. 1979) is an American contemporary artist renowned for his multidisciplinary practice spanning painting, sculpture, installation, and performance. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Colen's work explores themes of materiality, identity, and consumer culture. As a prominent figure in the post-street art movement, he bridges the gap between street art and mainstream contemporary art. Colen is also known for his long-term collaboration with fellow artist KAWS, with whom he has created numerous joint projects. His works have been exhibited globally and collected by major institutions including the Guggenheim Museum and MoMA.
