Robert C. Murphy (October 9, 1926 – October 31, 2000) was an American businessman, philanthropist, and community activist. Born in New York City, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and later pursued a career in business management. He held executive positions in manufacturing and medical equipment companies before retiring in 1988. Murphy is best known for his philanthropic work, including establishing the Murphy Family Foundation, which supported education and healthcare initiatives. He also served on several nonprofit boards. Despite limited public recognition, his contributions left a positive impact on his local community in Florida. He died of heart disease at age 74. more
