Chaim Weizmann, the first President of Israel, was a chemist and a leader of the Zionist movement. Born on November 27, 1874, in Poland, he passed away on November 9, 1952. Weizmann made significant contributions to the field of chemistry, particularly in fermentation research. During his time in the United Kingdom, he was deeply involved in the Zionist movement and became a key leader. After the establishment of Israel in 1948, Weizmann was elected as the first President, serving until his death in 1952. more
