“Offsprings of Africa
(Black History Sonnet)
If a black family lives
long enough in a cold climate,
in about 100 generations or so,
their descendants will be born white.
This is how the white people were born,
Because we all come from a black mother.
No matter where we live on earth,
We're all Africans - our homeland, Africa.
Till you get this anthropological fact,
You are but a traitor to earth.
Black History is World History,
We are all offsprings of Africa.”

“Sonnet 1152
In Korea, I am Ingan -
In Turkiye, I am Insan.
In Latam, Soy Humano -
In North America, I'm Human.
In hindi, I am Khichdi*,
A *hodge-podge of cultures,
Few have the mind to stomach,
while tribals feel perturbed.
Life is love, love is life -
all other existence is null and void.
World is love, love is the world -
all other paradigm is poison voyage.”

“All through history every culture on earth has produced its distinct literature - American literature, British literature, Latino Literature, Arabic literature, Turkish literature, European literature, Bengali literature and so on. I am none of these, because I am all of these - Naskar is the amalgamation of all of world's cultures. Naskar is the first epitome of integrated Earth literature - where there is no inferior, no superior - no greater, no lesser. Soulfulness of Rumiland, heartfulness of Martíland, correctiveness of MLKland, sweetness of Tagoreland - merge them all in the fire of love, and lo emerges Naskarland - merge them all in the fire of love, and lo emerges lightland.”

“Get Well Soon (The Sonnet)
Upon absorbing all cultures into my blood,
I realize, the supreme culture is love.
Upon studying all scriptures as my own,
I realize, the supreme gospel is love.
Even after speaking six languages,
I say, the supreme language is love.
Upon observing all political ideologies,
I say, only ideal worth submission is love.
Unfolding the neural underpinnings of behavior,
I realize, seed of civilization is love.
Unraveling the cellular mysteries of life,
I realize, existence oughta be a record of love.
Tiny-brained know-it-alls will still yell,
their culture beats all, like some tipsy loon.
To which all I can say is - get well soon!”

“Honor He Wrote Sonnet 78
Two is better than one,
Seven billion is better than two.
It's okay to collide on occasion so long as,
We're by each other when we are in doo-doo.
Every time we hold hands, magic happens,
This ain't the magic of our ignorant ancestors.
I am talkin' about the mortal magic of diversity,
The power that comes to life when we're together.
Remember this simple principle my friend,
Those who fall together, fly together.
Arms are just arms when separated,
But shield when held together.
We are a blessing when we stand together.
When divided, we are our worst nightmare.”

I gave up my country in your love,
I gave up my home for your sweetness.
I stand at your door without identity,
Will you take me in and fill my emptiness!
I've sailed my ship towards undestination,
Let the waves take me where they may.
Embracing the unknown I became a pal of all.
Come out my friend from your cage of dismay.
Come with me, and we'll explore all impossibility.
If we must be awful let's be awful together.
Let us lose all maps and walk around as vagrants.
Why worry, when we have each other!
To hell with destination, let us savor the journey!
Before success and achievement, let us first have unity.”

Some call me raghead,
Some call me desert dweller.
Some call me curry-breath,
Some call me f-ing nigger.
This is not just my story,
But of every person of color.
In a world stolen by whites,
Anything non-white is inferior.
Upon receiving so much hate,
I admit, sometimes I do feel gloomy.

“Home Country (The Sonnet)
If immigrants ain't real Americans,
Neither is our revered Lady Liberty.
She too came from a distant land,
Yet today she is the American epitome.
If even this doesn't broaden your heart,
What about the founders of our history!
All of them were textbook immigrants,
What white supremacists cuss as refugee.
Any land that holds potential for ascension,
Draws the repressed souls of humanity.
Though I belong to the whole wide world,
Land of Lady Liberty is my home country.
A nation's character isn't defined by rigidity,
It is defined by a hearty unity in diversity.”

“Giants in Jeans Sonnet 9
Thread by thread fabric is made.
Heart by heart community is made.
Star by star the sky is made.
Shoulder to shoulder the world is made.
The power of one is the power of all,
Wilderness is another name for divisionism.
When we are together we are civilized,
Civilization is synonym for nonsectarianism.
But the tragedy of the world is,
Each thread thinks they are all important.
And the problems faced by others,
Are all considered insignificant.
A world where callousness is assumed cool,
Is but a billion-dollar grave of the fool.”

“Love is Not A Christian Thing (The Sonnet)
Love thy neighbor is not a christian thing,
Love stuck in barriers stays love no more.
Shalom, ahava, simcha are not jewish concepts,
Peace, love and joy constitute life's core.
There's no christianity, there's only love,
There's no buddhism, there's only compassion,
There's no naskarism, there's only humanity,
There's no humanism, there's only assimilation.
Faith that raises walls within the mind,
Is faith of the prehistoric savages.
Faith has a place in civilized society,
Only if it helps break assumptions and barriers.
Let us come together across faith and culture.
Let us be companions in each other's adventure.”
