Walter Chrysler (April 2, 1875 – August 18, 1940) was an American automotive industry pioneer and entrepreneur, founder of the Chrysler Corporation. Born in Kansas, he began his career as a railroad mechanic before transitioning to automobile manufacturing. With exceptional engineering and management skills, he held key positions at General Motors and Willys-Overland. In 1925, he founded Chrysler, introducing Plymouth and Dodge brands, and developed the streamlined Airflow model. His innovation and business acumen propelled the company to become one of the Big Three American automakers, leaving a lasting impact on the global automotive industry.
