James Brady, born on August 29, 1940 and passed away on August 4, 2014, was a former White House Press Secretary in the United States. He served as Press Secretary to President Jimmy Carter in the 1970s and was severely injured in an assassination attempt, which left him wheelchair-bound for the rest of his life. After his recovery, Brady actively advocated for gun control and became a symbol of the gun control movement. more
