Supernatural Romance Quotes

“One celestial quake and the timeline belonging to her had imploded in the heavens like a dying star. It was like falling into oblivion, she thought wearily, the tattered remains of her life floated—unanchored in a vacuum of what was and what little remained.”

“Ryker's head snapped to look at me, and we locked eyes. That's when the tug at my heart really started to pull, and I had to gasp for breath as it burned to life. A pull, a connection. Was this what they called a thread of fate? If it was, it meant something about Ryker and me that I didn't have time to process in the heated moment. Ryker's nostrils flared, and he roared, his face snarling as he began charging back down the hallway to where Oleg and I were.”

“My eyes locked on the hand Devin had placed so gently on Thea's. They were a pair, a team. I didn't know their story, but whatever bond had mated them had clearly made a decision that the two of them could live with. A bond, two souls meant to find each other. Was that something I could really have? Reach for? My attention drifted to the dragon sitting next to me in the booth, and under the table I slid my fingers next to his until I could hook my pinky with his.”

“I could get used to this, coming home to a hot meal." His teasing made me put up an attitude as a defense, which only spurred on his amusement. Hot as he may be, he was also a fucking bastard. Taking the spatula, I cut a sliver of hot meat off and he caught it, popping it into his mouth. "You would be able to catch that," I muttered, my mouth trying not to jerk up into a smile as I turned my attention back to the pan.”

“He leaned against the chair, his muscular arms relaxed. “Is yer name Rose Amy.” I gave him an impressed look. I hadn’t expected him to catch on to the vague alphabetical clues to my initials. “Wrong.” “Curses.” He clicked his tongue against his teeth a few times, and I wanted to lean in and kiss him, hard. “Renee… Antoinette”. “I’d kill my mother if she named me Rene Antoinette.” I took another drink of my beer, wishing I hadn’t mentioned my mother. He gave a throaty laugh. “It’s god-awful, that’s fur sure.” “Quit stalling,” I sighed in mock boredom. “Rachel Anne.” My blood slopped to a halt in my veins. “Uh-No.” I lied, hiding the shock in my eyes.”

“Empath Hearts that smell the sorrow Soaks us up, but borrowed It pricks the eyes like onions' stench Instigating us to clenched Captivating eyes with a puzzled glance They know not the fear that it plants All I grasp are shards of glass I hear the sound just like the bats Broken from the world we live in History shuns any emotional whirlwind I know the moment will eventually pass The overbearing altitude The high humidity it casts Still, the spirit pulses its cry I could not ignore it, no, not I Its vibration makes such a clearing Irrational pause, so domineering Tears are a constant side effect Pouring down and making a mess I can’t form the words to comfort thee Society bans any feelings or needs With absolutes and shameful banes With no remedy or comfort gained In truth, I wish I could cure this curse To let go and escape the populace hurt But I can’t let this emotion pass Because I’m an empath”

“Under the light of the stars and moon he was breathtaking, bathed in silver light that didn't hide but instead glinted off the scars he'd collected through a life of struggle and battles that I couldn't imagine. He was rough at all edges, and feral, and a bastard. Imperfect, certainly. Stubborn, definitely. Mine? Yes. Mine, and I would take all of him as he was. Every piece of him. He moved down to his knees, nudging himself between my legs to force them open more. As his mouth moved, his lips revealed sharper teeth more dragon than man. His wings, blocking just a bit of the moonlight as they spread behind him, were a constant reminder of what he was. Moving over me, he claimed my mouth with precision and just enough pressure to give me the feeling of lack of control. My head swam as he stole his kiss, deepening it. The taste of him was divine; earthy and smoky with the smell of him wrapped all around.”

“I want you, Elaine. I want your mind, your soul, your body. I want you as my mate. I offer you my soul—right now. Right here. Take it all—take everything I am,” he murmured, his lips grazing the corner of her mouth. “…and I’ll even let you keep your clothes on.” She looked up at him, gasping at his boldness. In that instance, Ian’s lips slanted across hers in a consuming, mind-numbing, heart-stopping kiss. She moaned against his mouth, drinking in his groan before pulling back, chest heaving. “We’re in church, Ian,” she panted. “God can hear us.” His lips curled into a small, knowing smile. “I’m counting on that, love.”

“And then there was my magic. A wicked smile played across my lips as I thought about it. I couldn't do much yet, but I was rapidly learning the one thing I had taken to like a duck to water: spell circles. I'd gotten enough of a crash course with Max during the battle, and since my blood was practically made to charge spells, I was doing quite well with them. Our mountainside was filled with them now. It had taken me two solid months, but I'd finally encircled the area so that Ryker could freely transform and fly in his dragon shape without seeing him. Well, most anyone; I'm still learning after all. I found if I applied myself I could learn the runes on my own. No Book of Sisters needed, just like Max had said. And apply myself I did. I will never be helpless again. I spent a lot of days practicing while Ryker went hunting. I may not be able to conjure anything, or transform things or curse things. But I could put a set of rules in a spell circle, and with my blood as the active component, my circles were pretty near indestructible now.”

“She raised a brow as she inspected the blood bag. "I wouldn't exactly call it my favorite. Somewhere along the lines of a V8 is more toward my favorite." Chloë grunted in protest. "So my file didn't mention my fondness for cheeseburgers? Because that's a big miss from The Bureau. Makes me kinda question the accuracy of my dossier." - From Tall, Dark & Deadly”

“I really am hungry." I leaned down to whisper in her ear. "I'm hungry for something too." She turned an adorable shade of red and tried to scoot away from me, which wasn't going to happen since I had put my arm around her waist and there was no way she could break my hold. That's when we heard the most unexpected sound. Laughter. I looked up to see the fae in the end booth laughing. She had scooted her book aside and was trying to cover her mouth, but she was laughing. "I'm sorry," she giggled, wiping at the tears in the corner of her eye. "I didn't mean to spy on you guys, but whatever he just did to you reminds me of my mate." She burst into giggles again and her laughter bubbled loudly enough to draw the fae from the kitchen. "Thea, what happened?" The kitchen fae opened the door. "No, nothing. That big one just did something to the witch and it reminded me of Devin.”

“I don't have money to buy a bunch of land. I don't know how much you think land goes for nowadays, but it's not a dollar an acre anymore." Ryker smirked. "Trust me when I say I have more than enough money for it." I balked. "How? You live in a cabin in the middle of nowhere with no real job and nothing around you." "And I'm a dragon, Dani. A dragon who likes his gold." Slowly, so slowly, it sank in. He did mercenary work, that much I knew, and that kind of thing paid well, right? Dragons hoarding treasure seemed like something out of a fairy tale, but then again so did dragons until a few weeks ago. The confident look on his face said it all.”

“I wanted to yell. I wanted to claw his eyes out. Sickeningly, I wanted him to bite me again. I wanted Ryker. And as if on cue, a roar to shatter the castle echoed through the halls. He'd come for me. My heart filled with emotion. It was joy, and want, and hope. My heart was full, and I could have cried. I looked Apollo in his dangerously red eyes. "Fuck you, Apollo," I managed to whisper. "My dragon is here.”

“If fate was life, then Lene should just stay with the “wife-beater”, because every man she hooked up with would beat her. I couldn’t believe that was true, for her or for me. I had to believe my shitty life wasn’t some prearranged hell I could never escape. I wasn’t doing the best with decisions, or money, or finding someone to love me, but I hoped I was finally on the road to controlling my ‘crazy’. And just to prove I had control, I was going to turn this train-wreck of a night around. I stood, zipped up my jeans, and kicked open the stall door. “I’m goin’ to par-tay!” I sang out loud. Party, but not get laid, I reminded myself.”

“What do you mean 'warn me'?" Why did they both think I was going to claw her eyes out? The old me must've been psychotic." "I told you she has a soft spot for me." "Yeah, and I have a soft spot for tater tots, but that doesn't require me to warn people." "I think I can safely say she doesn't feel about me like you feel about tater tots," Cheney said, unsuccessfully trying to suppress his amusement. "I don't know, I really like tater tots," I mumbled. Cheney's laughter filled the room. "I stand corrected. Apparently your love for fried potato nuggets is much deeper that I gave credit.”

“I don't force women to my bed, Danica." I shivered. Something about going back to the use of my full name had my skin tight, my breath bated at the sight of his feral grin. "They come willingly, and begging." "And is that something you want?" I was playing a dangerous game, egging on an actual dragon. A lesser shifter would have pounced on the teasing, the taunting between us, long ago. Not Ryker; he had all the time and patience in the world to play the games I'd been playing with him. "I can unveil the mark tonight if you want, but we both know it's already there between us. Everything after that can come as slowly as you need it to; in the end I already know you'll find your way to me as it was intended. I offer you my everything, Dani. My wings, my strength, my soul." He leaned down, his lips pulled into an amused curve as he rumbled in my ear. "My cock, if you think you're ready to cross that line and have me fuck you until you forget your own name.”

“Elara's voice, tight with desperation, cracked as she confided, "I'm trying to balance it all, sœur de mon cœur" [ sister of my heart]. The endearment, a subconscious plea, hung in the air – a lifeline tossed in hopes of finding understanding. "The coven, Declan... Ma Déesse- My Goddess, I don't want to choose, non, and I honestly don't know if I can, you see." She wrung her hands. "It's like... like trying to hold the moon and the bayou in the same hands, tu comprends- you understand? Both are so deeply a part of me, hein? Ingrained in who I am, woven into the tapestry of my soul. The coven is my heritage, my family, my duty. Mais Declan... Declan il est mon autre moitié.” [he is my other half] Her voice broke again. "I simply cannot bring myself to let either one go – it would be like tearing myself in half, mon ami.”

“No, he only fed off me. That's why he was so hard to fight; he's fueled by whatever is in my blood. But his bite had, uh, side effects." Ryker grunted, knowing full well what I was talking about. A frustrated sigh escaped me as I tilted my head back, willing the cool air to take some of this heat from me. "Do you need help taking care of it?" Ryker asked. His tone was surprisingly serious, no playful hints or innuendos marring his offer. I must have had a puzzled look on my face, because he elaborated. "I'm not going to fuck you tonight, Dani. When I take you, it's going to be because you begged me for it, not because another man forced this on you." My lips parted as I stared at Ryker. If he'd wanted to cool me down, his words had the opposite effect. Now all I could picture was finding out just what he kept under that worn pair of jeans. Preferably, I'd be back in a black cotton dress and not Mina's club-wear, and there wouldn't be a vampire after me. But the picture Ryker just painted? I wanted that. My thighs pressed together. I could feel the wetness on my skin. "Fucking hell," I groaned out, gritting my teeth. "No, Ryker. I'd rather let it wear off with time. I'm not going to get off on something Apollo started." The glint in Ryker's eyes was filled with hungry appreciation. Satisfaction was dripping in his voice as he reached out and cupped my chin. "Good girl; I can promise your efforts to wait will be well rewarded." Another needy sound keened from my throat. "Bastard.”

“But through the ash and darkness I saw him. My dragon. Beautiful, terrible, fierce. The scars of his stories still evident, even in this form. I remembered the ones who'd come before me, those who had also pried open his shuttered heart. The ones who had left him. But I wasn't ready to go yet; I wouldn't leave my dragon in that dark place again to pick up the pieces of his fallen loved ones in isolation. And Ryker wouldn't let me go. "Ryker!" I screamed as I fell. He was enormous, beating his wings and trying to rise up to meet me. One of his wings was a tattered mess, but still he pushed up, his body beginning to shift and change. He shrank and shed his scales, turning back into the human shape I'd known him in but keeping the wings that helped push him to me in a desperate gust. My eyes were flooding, tears falling every which way in the wind as I fell. I stretched out my arms to him, and he reached up and grabbed me. "Dani!" he growled over the wind. I was pulled into his chest, my head tucked under his chin as my hot, wet tears soaked us both. "It's over, he's dead. I told you my fire would never hurt you.”

“Here, let me heat the water." I moved over to the sink where she shifted out of my way. Moving the bucket aside, I put the stopper in the sink and filled it. Flexing the part of me that was settled in the middle of my chest that brought out the fire in my breath, I blew a gentle stream of it over the surface of the water as it started to sizzle and steam. Leaning back from the sink, I stood aside and watched Dani for a reaction. I could almost hear her familiar heartbeat, and she stared at the water for a long moment before setting the pan in it and turning back to me. "You really are a dragon”

“Ryker wrapped his arms around my middle and stood up, scooping me off my feet. "But I'm sure we can handle a shower and some sleep." "Put me down, Ryker! I need to grab clothes and towels," I said. "I prefer neither." A familiar, assholeish grin plastered across his face as he carried us to Dad's room and the only shower in the apartment. "I'm not walking around naked in Dad's apartment. That will have to wait until..." Until. Until what? What was I saying? Ryker, the bastard, caught me in my words all too quickly. "Until what, Dani?" he asked with that damned smirk and the fucking sexy rumble in his voice. And the way his eyes were eating me up, even though we were both covered in dirt and soot. Ryker set me down on the bathroom floor. "It will have to wait until we're alone," I said. "Truly alone, not here." I focused on turning on the hot water. Ryker hooked his thumbs in the top of my shorts and began to slide them off me. "Ryker, not helping," I grumbled, fighting the smile trying to creep onto my lips. "Unless you intend to wear them in the shower, I think I am." Even though he was behind me I could see his smug grin pretty clearly in my head. I swatted his hand away. "No, Ryker," I said, turning to face him. "Bad dragon." He kept smiling but narrowed his eyes as he leaned down to whisper in my ear. "You can shower in peace, firecracker. I'll let you sleep, and eat, and I'll take this vampire pain in our ass. But after all of this has settled, I'm taking you deep into the Siberian plain and I'm going to fuck you until you don't know what to do with yourself.”
