“إنها العواطف..أنت لا تعرفين كم تعد العواطف مهمة في حياتنا. فالإنسان بلا عواطف يجرد من إنسانيته. فبدون العواطف يصبح الإنسان تراباً بلا روح لأن الروح البشرية لا تحمل سوى العواطف. والعقل لا يحمل سوى الذكريات والمعلومات. والعواطف متصلة بالذكريات. فلولا عواطفنا لما أصبح هناك ذكريات نشتاق إليها. فالعواطف هى ما تجعلنا نسجل الذكريات أثناء عمرها القصير ونتذكرها بعد ذلك إلى الأبد سواء كانت جميلة أو قاسية. الغريب أن الذكريات التي يتذكرها الإنسان لا تتوافق دائماً مع عواطفه. فربما نجد إنساناً حزيناً يسترجع ذكرياته السعيدة لأنه في حاجة ماسة إليها لكي تساعده على تخطي محنته بضخها بعضا من البهجة إلى روحه الحزينة.. العواطف تتحكم في كل شئ! حتى القرارات التي قد نظن أننا قد أتخذناها بعقولنا هى أيضاً قرارات أتخذناها بعواطفنا قبل أن نتخذها بعقولنا. جميع قراراتنا تستشير عواطفنا قبل أن تستشير عقولنا. كما أن عقولنا ذاتها تشكلها عواطفنا وتغير شكلها من حين إلى آخر. وهذا هو ما يجعل طريقة تفكير الإنسان ومعتقداته غير ثابتة وأسلوب حياته غير ثابت أيضاً! وذلك لأن عواطفنا البشرية بطبيعتها متغيرة ومتقلبة! الفلسفة أمر منوط بالحكمة. والحكمة أمر منوط بأسلوب تفكير العقل. وأسلوب تفكير العقل أمر منوط بالطريقة التي تفاعل بها الإنسان مع تجارب حياته. والطريقة التي تفاعل بها الإنسان مع تجارب حياته أمر منوط بالعواطف. لذا لا عجب في أن تكون الحقيقة الخفية أن العقل ليس سوى تابع للعواطف. ولا عجب أيضا في أن تتشكل فلسفة الإنسان وحالته النفسية عن طريق ما يمر به في حياته وطريقة استجابة عواطفه له. وبناءاً على كل ذلك ندرك أن الموعد الحقيقي لموت الإنسان هو عندما تتجمد وتتصلب عواطفه. ولكن بما أن عواطف الإنسان لا تتصلب بشكل كامل إلا عند موته بيولوجيا في الحقيقة! لذا يظل الموت هو الموت! يمكن لأي إنسان أن يتأمل ويفكر في الأمر بنفسه هو أيضا! الأمر ليس صعباً! فكل إنسان فيلسوف. والفيلسوف هو الذي يتأمل أي ظاهرة يجدها حوله ويحاول تفسيرها تفسيراً دقيقاً ومنطقياً. وقد أمرنا الله أن نتأمل الكون ونبحث في علومه.. مما يؤكد أن مهمة الإنسان في الحياة هى أن يصبح فيلسوفاً أياً كانت وظيفته!”
